A woman with short blond hair and tattoos practicing yoga or meditation in a dimly lit studio with a brick wall background. She is sitting cross-legged on a yoga mat with her hands pressed together in prayer position. There is a stainless steel tumbler, a smartphone, and yoga blocks in front of her.

Mala White

Mala has been a dedicated practitioner with Harmony Yoga Studios for many years. As her practice grew stronger, her desire to incorporate Yoga into her daily life led her to become a certified Yoga instructor. Mala received her 300-hour Yoga certification through Aura Wellness Center, working closely with Dr. Paul Jerard E-RYT 500. She graduated in 2012 with the highest honors given by her mentors.

β€œI remember gazing up from my mat at the teacher standing at the head of the class at our West Spaulding studio thinking: β€˜someday that will be me.’”

As life would have it, in 2013 Mala’s health took a turn for the worse. After several months of treatment, it took a toll on her body, both mentally and physically. Using her background in her physical Yoga practice and knowledge in teacher training, her recovery process has been a positive experience.

β€œThis profound journey has opened my eyes to the connection between Yoga and its true healing power.” Having experienced Yoga therapy, Mala is currently studying to become a Yoga Therapist to share her first-hand knowledge with her clients. Join her as she incorporates the benefits of breath, movement, and passion into this life-changing practice we call Yoga!
