Basic Beginner’s Workshop
with Anne Ondrey and Paula Gardner Saturdays, September 11th & October 9th  1:30-3:30 PM - $30

This 2-hour workshop is designed for brand new beginners and intermediate students wanting more detail to postural alignment. This is a great way to learn the basics in an intimate non-competitive environment. We will take you through the fundamentals of alignment and breath work as you begin to experience for yourself some of the benefits that arise from practicing yoga such as:
1 -Increased flexibility
2 -Increased strength
3 -Cardiovascular and digestive health
4 -Sense of well being relaxation
In this workshop you will learn proper yogic breathing techniques, sun salutations, standing poses and hip openers. You will be introduced to back bending, forward bending and inversions. Workshop will conclude with a deep relaxation. Wear comfortable clothing. 
 

    
Prenatal Yoga with your Partner with Paula Gardner - Sunday, September 26th 3:00-5:00 PM -$35

Research shows that women who have a companion during pregnancy and labor have a "lighter" birth than those who have no support. Often partners do not realize how much successful birthing depends on their positive, loving and supportive attitude. Sharing yoga postures, breath awareness, vocal toning, meditation and massage, couples cultivate greater relaxation, nurture family intimacy and create the opportunity for bonding with the unbounded love living within the mother's body. Join us for an afternoon of bonding and sharing in this special time. 
 

Bringing Your Practice Home with Sarah Leptic Sunday, October 17th 3:00-5:00 PM

Learn how to intelligently develop an evolving home yoga practice, tailored to your needs and at your own pace. Learn the foundations to a safe and well balanced practice. In this workshop you will review setting up your home space, yoga props, types of practice, and very simple sequencing techniques, including Sun Salutation and Hatha. Come foster a deeper level of awareness – breathe, learn and grow into your own home practice
 

Relieving Ostoeporosis with Paula Gardner Sunday, November 7th 3:00-5:00 PM -$30

Learn how yoga can increase your bone density with weight bearing asanas. Opposing one muscle group to another over relatively long periods of time, proves to be an excellent stimulus of this type of bone reinforcement. Since you are controlling the degree of intensity, it can be carefully controlled to produce forces that are great enough to stimulate bone strengthening, but not to damage the very bones one is trying to reinforce. Discover ways to combat the stress that compromises the neuroendocrine and immune systems. A specific sequence for relieving osteoporosis will be taught as well as breathing and relaxation techniques. If you have osteoporosis and are new to yoga, please get your Dr.'s permission to participate in this workshop. 

 

Meditation for Beginner's with Anne Ondrey Friday, November 20th 7:00-8:30 PM - $20
 

Ever thought about starting a meditation practice but were unsure how to go about it? Meditation is as simple as breathing, which - like asana - is the focus of the practice. Come and get started on experiencing your inner nature and find peace and relaxation. The session will involve some simple yoga asanas, breathing and short meditation sessions with instructions.
