Etiquette
- Wear comfortable clothing that allows for stretching. Shorts, work-out pants, and tank-tops are fine. However, please be aware of large T-shirts that fall over your head during inversions!
- Remove your shoes before entering the studio. Yoga/Pilates is practiced barefoot.
- Bring a Yoga/Pilates mat and towel; if you do not have a mat you may rent one or buy one from our studio.
- We ask that you refrain from wearing any fragrances or scented body products.
- An empty stomach is recommended for a comfortable class experience. Wait two or three hours after a meal or a half hour after a light snack or drink. Avoid sipping water during class, but drink plenty afterwards.
- It is best to arrive 5-10 minutes prior to class to ensure you have a space. Check in at the front desk, take off your shoes, turn off your cell phones and log in on the sign up sheet.
- Talk to your instructor. If you’re new, why not enter the studio a few minutes early and introduce yourself to you instructor?
- Tell your teacher about any injuries or special health conditions that might affect your practice.
- Harmony Studios recommends signing up for all classes in advance, either online or at the studio. If you have signed up for a class and need to cancel, please do so in advance. We would appreciate 24 hours notice in order to allow another student to take the class, but you have until 2 hours prior to class to cancel without getting charged. If a cancellation does not occur before this time, a class will be removed from your package. If you have an unlimited package, a class fee of $8 will be charged to your account.
- Unlimited and class packages may be used for yoga or Pilates classes. Workshops and private sessions will require a seperate fee.
